The morning started with our opening mass for the school year. This year is the Golden Jubilee, as we are celebrating our 50 year anniversary. During the service the teachers and students who were captains were blessed at the altar. After the service we changed into casual clothes and played games with the girls. We danced to music and played rugby. The girls enjoyed seeing the teachers act a little crazy.
After the students were dismissed the prefects and their families brought food and drinks for the staff. They stayed around and served us drinks. It was really weird to be offered beer by students – Candice and I decided not to drink and will probably keep that as a general rule during events such as these. We ate lots of food and chatted with fellow staff members.
